Pilot Project for School-Based Counseling

One essential component to the prevention of mental illness is building capacity within critical stakeholder groups. Schools serve as a central point of influence in the lives of children, particularly in Vietnam. A potential project is currently being scoped with a local NGO, The Research Center for Mental Health and Community Development, to develop training curriculum focused on the fundamentals of mental health counseling, and will be provided to teachers. Pre/post assessments will be used to evaluate effectiveness.
