Peer Recovery Coach Trainings

A Recovery Coach promotes recovery and removes barriers and obstacles to recovery, serving as a personal guide and mentor for people seeking or already in recovery. The CCAR Recovery Coach Academy© is a 5-day (30-hour) intensive training academy focusing on providing individuals with the skills needed to guide, mentor, and support anyone who would like to enter or sustain long-term recovery. CCAR Recovery Coach Academy© prepares participants by helping them to actively listen, ask good questions, and discover how to manage
their own stuff. This course meets the 30-hour education requirement for CAPRC I & II credentials. A two-day Peer Recovery Ethics course is also required for the CAPRC I & II credential.
